Coco Fiber for Industrial Manufacturing

As manufacturers look for sustainable alternatives to synthetic foams and plastics, Coco Fiber (Coir) has emerged as a premium industrial material. We supply high-quality, golden brown coir fiber prized for its natural resilience, breathability, and durability.

1. Natural Resilience

Coco fiber possesses a high degree of natural elasticity. When pressed and bound (often with natural latex), it acts like a natural micro-spring, providing excellent structural support without permanently losing its shape over time.

2. Unmatched Breathability

Unlike polyurethane foams that trap heat and moisture, coco fiber has a highly porous macro-structure. It allows continuous airflow, keeping mattresses and upholstery cool, dry, and highly resistant to dust mites and mold.

3. Eco-Friendly & Biodegradable

Derived 100% from the outer husk of the coconut, coir is a renewable agricultural byproduct. Replacing synthetic fillers with coir helps manufacturers drastically reduce the carbon footprint of their consumer goods.

The Decortication & Baling Process

The quality of industrial coco fiber relies heavily on the decortication process—the mechanical extraction of the fiber from the raw husk. We ensure our machines are calibrated to extract long, strong bristle fibers while aggressively sifting out the short dust and pith (coco peat).

Once cleaned and sun-dried to a safe moisture level, the fluffy fiber is fed into a heavy-duty hydraulic press. This compresses the fiber into highly dense, tightly strapped bales, ensuring the material arrives at your factory ready for unbaling and further processing (such as rubberizing).

  • Clean Extraction: Minimizes dust and impurities to protect your factory machinery.
  • Golden Brown Color: Sourced from mature brown coconuts, ensuring maximum fiber strength.
  • Moth & Rot Resistant: Naturally rich in lignin, making the fiber incredibly tough and weather-resistant.

Target Industrial Specs

  • Fiber Length: Ranging from 10cm to 25cm
  • Moisture Content: Max 15% (prevents mold in transit)
  • Impurity Level: Max 3% - 5% (dust and short pith)
  • Color: Golden Brown / Dark Brown
  • Bale Weight: 100kg to 125kg per bale

Rubberized Coir vs. Synthetic Foam in Bedding

Feature Rubberized Coco Fiber Polyurethane (PU) Foam
Thermal Regulation Excellent (Naturally cooling & breathable) Poor (Traps body heat)
Moisture Control High (Absorbs and dissipates moisture) Low (Can feel damp)
Support Factor Firm, orthopedic-level support Soft, but prone to sagging over time
Environmental Impact 100% Natural & Biodegradable Petroleum-based, difficult to recycle
Dust Mite Resistance Naturally resistant due to ventilation Susceptible without chemical treatments

"Rubberized Coir" is created when our raw coco fiber is curled, formed into sheets, and sprayed with natural latex sap. It is the gold standard for premium orthopedic mattresses.

Key Manufacturing Applications

  • Mattress Manufacturing: The primary raw material for making orthopedic and premium "natural-hybrid" spring beds.
  • Automotive Seating: Used in eco-conscious automotive manufacturing (like German luxury car seats) for durable, breathable seating.
  • Upholstery & Furniture: Padding and structural filling for sofas, chairs, and cushions.
  • Acoustic & Thermal Insulation: Formed into panels for eco-friendly building insulation.
  • Brush & Broom Making: The stiffest bristle fibers are extracted for heavy-duty cleaning brushes.

Logistics & Baled Packaging

Uncompressed coco fiber is extremely voluminous, making ocean freight prohibitively expensive. Our hydraulic baling process solves this by maximizing container payload.

  • Tightly Strapped Bales: Each bale weighs approximately 100kg to 125kg and is bound securely with heavy-duty plastic or metal strapping.
  • Container Optimization: A standard 40ft High Cube (HC) container can hold approximately 18 to 20 metric tons of baled fiber.
  • Factory Ready: Bales are designed to be easily handled by standard forklifts and fed directly into unbaling or curling machines at your facility.

Commercial Perspective

For large-scale manufacturers, supply chain reliability is just as important as the material itself. Inconsistent fiber length or high moisture content can jam curling machines or cause entire shipping containers to mold. By controlling the decortication and sun-drying processes directly in Indonesia, we deliver a highly consistent, low-impurity fiber that keeps your production lines running smoothly and protects your end-product quality.

We routinely supply:

  • International mattress and bedding manufacturers
  • Rubberized coir sheet factories
  • Automotive component suppliers
  • Industrial packaging and insulation companies
